These services include: Providing back-up communications to Boeing sites equipped with high-frequency radio equipment Assisting protective services during incidents requiring additional manpower Coordinating traffic control Providing expert communications at an incident command post or during activation of the emergency operation center Assuming key rolls, such as staging officer or communications officer, at the incident command post Operators also provide the communications necessary to coordinate building evacuations. Each building is assigned an operator who interfaces with the building emergency coordinators and area wardens. Together, they help reconcile building head counts, and during a real disaster, help coordinate the treatment of injured employees.
